Dear Lyme Fire Department Supporters and Neighbors:

As many of you know, the Lyme Fire Company normally holds its annual fundraising “Steak Dinner” in the fall. This remains a favorite community event and tradition over the years and brings our whole town together for a special evening. This annual fundraising event is also a critical element of our internal operating budget and reduces our fiscal dependency on the municipality.

Unfortunately, again we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Steak Dinner event because of pandemic-related concerns, continued infections, and risk from new variants.

Our mission has always been to protect and keep our community safe and holding a large event in a confined space could put many of our friends and family at unnecessary risk and is not the responsible thing to do under the circumstances.

We hope to see you all in 2022!
